“The Jesus We All Need”

John 1:1-4, 14

I recall speaking with a gentleman who, in the course of our conversation, said to me something like this —

“That’s great that Jesus and Christianity works for you but it’s not for me. I don’t like it when people push their religion on me. I don’t need that sort of thing. I don’t need your Jesus.”

We all know, he’s not alone. This is the type of thinking we’re running into almost everywhere. In my opinion, this is one of the churches biggest challenges in our relativistic post-Christendom culture—to rationally and patiently and humbly explain why the Jesus who’s really there is the Jesus we all need.

In this sermon, delivered on July 14, 2024 at Exeter Presbyterian Church (PCA), we consider three reasons for the necessity of Jesus in all our lives.
